How do I connect latitude and longitude columns to a map visualization if the calculated latitude and longitude measure is null?

Currently I have a map visualization that pulls information from a sharepoint list. Tableau generates the latitude and longitude from the city and state information. However, there are times were the location cannot be found and the coordinates cannot be generated. Since that is the case, I created a column in my sharepoint list that is for latitude and longitude and then filled it in for the locations that Tableau could not find. Since my map found the majority of my locations, I didn't want to manually enter in all the coordinates for the locations. Does anyone know if there is a formula or a setting that I could use that if Tableau Desktop was not able to find the location that the visualization could refer to the latitude and longitude columns?
