I recommend reshaping the Excel file so that you have three columns: rating, portfolio, count
1. Get the Tableau plugin (http://kb.tableausoftware.com/articles/knowledgebase/addin-reshaping-data-excel)
2. Open your Excel file, put the cursor in cell B2.
3. If the Tableau plugin is enabled, you should see Tableau in the menu bar (next to View). Click on this and choose reshape data.
4. Rename column 2 and 3 to "Portfolio" and "Value" (or count or whatever)
The result should look like "sheet1-Tableau" in the attached xlsx.
Now you just create bar chart in Tableau and move portfolio to the color shelf.
