    Can't connect to Tableau Public server from Tableau Desktop

      I'm trying to upload a dashboard to Tableau Public from the Desktop version, but when I try to Save to Web I get an error message saying:

       

      Cannot connect to Tableau Public. Please make sure you are connected to the internet. If you continue to receive this message, the server may be temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

       

      Internet communication error: It was not possible to connect to the revocation server or a definitive response could not be obtained.

      (public.tableausoftware.com).

       

      Obviously I am connected to the internet and I get this message every time. Our IT department don't think it's likely to be our firewall that's the problem. Any suggestions gratefully received.
