1. Re: Plotting US and Canadian locations in a symbol map at the same time?
Shawn Wallwork Jan 8, 2013 11:26 AM (in response to Jason Caulk)Jason, thanks for posting a sample workbook, but you'll need to post a packaged workbook (twbx), the one you posted doesn't have any data in it. Meantime do you have a Country field included in your data and did you put this on the level of detail shelf?

Jason Caulk Jan 8, 2013 11:33 AM (in response to Shawn Wallwork)Shawn,
Thanks for the note on the workbook. I grabbed the wrong file. Please see the attached twbx.
Re data questions: I do have a country field in the extract, and I did try putting it in the "level of detail" shelf. Still no go...

3. Re: Plotting US and Canadian locations in a symbol map at the same time?
Shawn Wallwork Jan 8, 2013 11:51 AM (in response to Jason Caulk)Jason, so Tableau only recognizes 3-digit zipcodes in Canada. I trimmed them down and it now displays correctly. See Attached.

4. Re: Plotting US and Canadian locations in a symbol map at the same time?
Jason Caulk Jan 8, 2013 11:54 AM (in response to Shawn Wallwork)Bingo... I didn't realize it only picked up the first 3 digits.
Glad it was a simple solution.
Thanks again!
