In desktop, you can select the user you'd like to impersonate. Look for something like this
on the bottom status bar. You can use the drop down to get a list of users from Server (you may be prompted to login to server -- you'll want to use your admin credentials). Select the ones you want and your set to check what they can see!
That helps me see how individual workbooks are viewed by users.
But is there anything that let's me test out Project level security on the server? I'm trying to make sure when I give access to a folder for a specific group, that only that group can see it but no other group can. Is there a feature that will let me test that?
Are you using trusted authentication to embed the views in another web application? If so, you could generate an authentication ticket for the username, without the password, and test each user that way.
Otherwise, I'm not aware of any way to test this using Tableau Server.
