Yikes. You need an <iframe> or <script> tag one way or the other.
Do you have any documentation as to how to embed tableau in Jive web pages?
I have the same problem, could you fix it? I need public a dashboard in Jive.
Help me please!!!
Oh David. I was doing a Google search and was going to post my frustration with Converge and here you are... of all people!! I'm baffled and a bit outraged. Did you find a way around it?
I did some research on this and found that when "User" publish and HTML object on "Jive" certain tags "<script>, etc" are stripped out, BUT if an "administrator" publishes the HTML page the tags are not stripped out.
The only issue with this though is if the "User" re-edits the HTML object the script will be stripped out again.
Sounds about right..... I'll see Lee can enable those features on a per
user level maybe? We really need this going forward.

I may have found a work around somewhat for this. I was able to embed an
imaged of the dashboard/worksheet into the Converge webpage.

I can use the no problem and put a hyperlink behind it, but it's
not the same thing as being able to navigate the workbook from within the
same Converge page they're reading the information on. The would
would then just take them to the Tableau server to log in. I would've even
tried JQuery or Ajax, but they don't even allow you to use custom scripting
or CSS. It's like saying, "you can have a car, but you can't use

Thanks for the call out, Toby. Where are you trying to embed the dashboard or workbook?
We are currently on Jive 6 (I didn't see a mention of the version you are on) and we use Tableau Online to publish our vizzes on the site, for example Ideas. We then, use the HTML widget with an <iframe> tag.
The best solutions can provide as below:
1. Create batch command into Tableau Server which snapshot the main dashboard in PNG/JPEG picture format.
2. Create schedule job into Tableau Server which run by every minute.
3. The snapshot picture need store in network drive and can displayed latest information of dashboard in the Jive Web Portal.
4. Create documents from Jive Web Portal that insert image from the URL Link. The picture would replace by every minute.
5. Optional: Can create the picture link and direct to the dashboard for more information.
