we're currently using Tableau for displaying embedded charts (views) on a website for customers.
For every click a user does to load a new page with an embedded chart (view), we authenticate the user by requesting a ticket. This is to avoid the session timing out and returning an error message. Is it good practice to request a ticket for each new chart loaded, or will the user continue to be authenticated by cookies as long as the session doesn't time out?
Thank you for your time!
I believe your approach is correct. If I'm not mistaken, I think the ticket is only valid for 15 seconds after it is generated.
