thank you. I duplicated the data source but all dimenions, measures are greyed out in the second (copy). None of them can be dragged. So I thought perhaps need to create a new worksheet. Did that; as soon as i drag one item from one source, the other's items are all greyed. I wonder if this is becauase I am using SSAS and this is not allowed. Also I see the link on your example. Must I link the 2 sources ?
You are right about the reason this cannot be done is because you are using SSAS. What is trying to be done is called data blending. Data blending can be done with cubes, however, the primary source must be cube and the secondary source must be a relational data source.
However, you can probably get the desired view by using table calculations and parameters. I've attached a sample workbook here.
