    Shading in City by Frequency

    Bryan Chae

I really how Tableau shades in zip code areas based on frequency (e.g., more addresses in a particular zip are a darker shade).  Is there a way to this with city boundries?  I understand I can do city centroids (e.g., a sigle point that represents the city), but I need to do a report with boundries shaded in.

      Any suggestions appreciated.

Tableau does not include city boundaries. It does include CMSAs in the United States, which covers metropolitan areas. This works well if your data is about major cities anyway.

If your data is address level, then using the zipcode is the best you can do easily in Tableau.
