# calculate percent of certain type of responses within a dimension

Is there an easy way to calculate the percent of a certain type of response within a dimension variable, and then just display that particular percentage within a chart? E.g., the percentage of respondents who replied yes to a yes/no question on a survey? I figured out a convoluted way to make that work using using table calculations, but suspect there must be an easier (syntax?) way -- I need to create a whole series of these types of charts using various dimensions...

Two calcs should get you there:

if [answer]="Yes" then 1 else 0 end (let's call this [Yes Answers])

and % will be

However, as you ended up with table calcs, I wonder if your data is set up differently from this?

I've already got them coded as 0 (no) and 1 (yes)

so the syntax for % would be: sum(1)/count?

Thanks!
