1. Re: Can i make a Filter global to only one tab

I think you're mis-using some terms here. So let me first clear that up a bit, and then answer the question I think you're asking. I think what you're saying is:
- You have 5 Dashboards, and each one has at least 6 Worksheets (charts)
- In the first Dashboard you want to set up a Global filter that affects only the worksheets on that Dashboard
- When you set this Global filter it effects all other Worksheets and Dashboards that use that data source, which you want to avoid
(If this isn't what you're asking, my apologies. Please ask your question again. BTW 'tabs' can be either Worksheets or Dashboards so that term is a bit ambiguous.)
Solution. As I mentioned Global Filters effect every worksheet that uses that data connection. So the work-around is to duplicate the data connection and then recreate all the worksheet that feed the one dashboard you want to isolate from the rest. Unfortunately, this means recreating these worksheets from scratch using the duplicate data source.
Vote. There are "Ideas" (feature requests) already posted dealing with this issue. Here are two links:
More filter options than Global and Local
Hope this helps,
