This can be done by first creating a copy of the date field. Right click on it in the data box and select Duplicate. Place this duplicate copy of the date field on the rows shelf to the left of Portal Name. (There should now be three pills on the columns shelf.) Right click on both the first instance of Time 2 and Portal Name and uncheck Show Header. Notice that Time2 is at the bottom of the view. Go to Format-->Borders. Select the Columns tab. Under Column Divider, lower the slider level.
Hope this helps!
I can't say either of these will solve your problem but a couple ideas to consider. See the attached workbooks.
- Sheet 1 shows a stacked bar chart, with labels for the actual revenue numbers and the Portal Name column on the color shelf. Not exactly what you're looking for but close.
- Sheet 2 shows your chart but with the x- and y-axis transposed. Personally I'm not a fan of seeing time series top to bottom (instead of left to right) but it does the grouping you are looking for.
