We've had a lot of discussion at our organization on how to effectively manage a Tableau Server. It is set up in a Project fashion, but the views in a single project can get completely overwhelming. Ideally a business unit could have multiple projects and multiple project leaders, but the only user that is allowed to make create/add a project is an administrator. It would be great to have another user type that is below an administrator, but higher than an interactor. Does anyone have any thoughts about adding another user permission to create projects or some best practices to get around this challenge? If companies are doing this with 100's plus designers I'm assuming they've solved the issue somehow.
P.S. I'm not interested in going Multi-tenant as a solution.
The closest we currently have is a Content Admin. They can add projects and are lower than system administrators.
However, any more functionality than this would be good to add to our Ideas section!
