    Today's date in title

    Nicole Le Prohn

I want to have today's date show up in the title of a dashboard I publish to Server. Yesterday I followed the instructions from the knowledge base article: Dynamically updating titles (http://kb.tableausoftware.com/articles/knowledgebase/todays-date-title). Today the dates in the titles still show as yesterday. The data source is on Tableau Server and is updated daily at 4 am. If I look at the actual value of the dimension TODAY - it is correct. But it isn't updating on the dashboard titles.  SO....what am I doing wrong?

          Hi Nicole

First thing to look at is the time zone of where your server is hosted. Is the server in the same time zone you work? The 'today' displayed on your server hosted reports will match the local date/time where the server is hosted, the desktop 'today' will display the local date of your computer. For example if you're in Europe and your server is on the west coast of the US, for example, server 'today' won't begin until mid-morning.
