You're assumption is correct, since you blend on 'code', you need to have it in the viz or on level of detail, which means it will still break up the counts per code.
You could use the WINDOW_SUM or WINDOW_COUNT formula instead.
It is a table calc that will return the count of a window that you can then specify.
See the workbook attached.
For your example:
* first filter out your NULLs, by moving Count to Filters, select SUM, then go to Special and select Non-null values
* create a calculated field: right-click in measures and click create calculated field,
in the formula put the window_count formula: WINDOW_SUM(SUM([Count]))
* bring in that newly created field on Color and/or label
* now right-click on that field you brought in --> compete using --> Code
That should work, in my workbook you can see in detail what the window_sum does in my bar chart.
Hope that helps

This is great - definitely what I was looking for.
Do you know how I would be able to filter by date as well? Right now it is only allowing me to filter by count, min or max of the date field.
Thanks again for your thorough and quick response!

I'm not sure about that, because adding that to our view gives us similar issues.
There might be another workaround though, but will check after the end of month when things cool down a bit.
Thanks for the response.
I have decided against using this filter. Thanks again for your help!
