I finally figured it out. It's a bit convoluted, but it works. Let's say you want to put a score as the top parameter and the sample size below, here's what it looks like:
n="+[Sample Size String])
The results look like this (assuming that the score is 15 with sample size=300):
You have to put a physical carriage return into the literal quotes. Convoluted, but it works!
No way! I tried all the likely ASCII characters - would never have guessed an actual return would work..
Thanks for the heads up. Was wracking my head on this also.
One thing I noticed though is that this technique placed 2 additional characters (CR + LF). I adjusted my formulas to count 2 additional characters and it was good to go!
I was also focusing too much on the CHAR function.
