Is there a way to set the min/max of the axis to be relative to the min/max values of the dataset? So instead of hardcoding a min/max, you could have the max value be 20% greater than the max data value, for example. The problem is I have a graph with a few filters. At the highest level, the numbers go up to 10K, but if you start filtering items, you can get down to where the highest number is 20. So I have to leave 0 as the min. But then at the highest level this means my lines are all squashed up flat against the top of the graph with alot of white space below.
If the min/max were relative, you would essentially have the same space layout no matter what level you filter to.
Tableau will automatically adjust the axis depending on what is filtered, if it is set to Automatic range. However, there are certain instances where this might not meet the desired criteria. This would be a good one to put in the Ideas section with use case scenarios!
