It is possible to hide the comments section at the bottom of a given view. This can be done a couple of ways: either through the permissions of the workbook, or by adding a "comments=no" parameter to the URL of the view, or the embed code if embedding the view in a web portal.

This only worked for me when i used ':embed=yes' as the parameter eg ...?:embed=yes or &:embed=yes.

To revoke access to the comment box within Tableau Server, the only method is to deny permissions to users to post/view the comments, this can be done by following the steps laid out within the article below:
Be sure to set the permissions for comments to "Deny" and not "Inherit" as this will negate the change unless it is made within every group.
Please note that this will not affect users who are marked as administrators, as admins essentially have all permissions, all the time.
