I am fairly certain that you will want to install the Progress ODBC driver. In addition, I recommend trying to follow up with your Progress account representative just to confirm that is indeed the ODBC driver and not the JDBC driver.
Thanks. The Progress rep think the same. Seems that tests will be the only way to prove.
We have just connected Tableau using the native connection.
We had to install Progress Openedge 10.1.2b and Tableau V7.1
You then do not need to go down the ODBC route.
I have a problem at the moment in that logical fields are being converted to numeric.
Where did you download the software from (Progress OpenEdge 10.1.2b)?
