Currently SCF is not a default supported data format with Tableau, which means you need to import specific longitude and latitude coordinates to accomplish this. If no one has such a map already, perhaps you could use a table calculation to truncate the zip codes to accomplish the same thing?
If that doesn't work, I'm sure you could find an SCF file online somewhere and convert it using Tableau's "Import Custom Geocoding" feature. For more information on the import feature, see http://kb.tableausoftware.com/articles/knowledgebase/importing-numeric-geographic-roles.
I have a cross reference of SCF with our Region structure. So, what I really want to do is to map by zip code geo code but aggregate them all by the first three digits to match up with the SCF. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
I have the same question as Kathy. Can I bundle zip codes while preserving their geographic identity?
