Thierry, you mean something like this:
It's really just a matter of getting pills arranged and colored correctly. (See attached file.)
Actually the second file is closer to what your're looking for. You'll need to turn on Multiple Mark Types to get the labels on the bar chart to work correctly. Looks like this:

Thanks a lot for your help Shawn.
Your method works well if I only want to display only measure value as text.
If I have several measure values as text, I suppose they will all be displayed on the "left side" (ie: rows) of the view while the other values I want to display as bar (or anything else for that matter) would be displayed on the "right side" of the view (ie: columns).
In other words, can I alternate text and bar values so that each text value would be close to the bar it relates to?

Thierry, to the best of my knowledge you are correct, you can not intersperse columns of text with bar charts (at least I couldn't find a way to do it).
Thanks Shawn. Hopefully a future version of Tableau can let us customize the mark type of each measure value in a "text table".
