move published workbooks between sites

Hi,

I have workbooks published under "default" site.

I also created several sites and would like to move those workbooks to different sites.

Is there anyway I can move my existing published workbooks between two sites?

same way a workbook can be moved between projects.

I really don't want to republish all workbooks using desktop/tabcmd (this will take ages).

1) I don't understand why Tableau Support won't respond to these simple and straight forward questions. Their support for server seems to be less than stellar.

2) The answer to the question is that it is not possible to move workbooks/groups/projects/data connections between sites. Everything has to be republished manually! What a pain!

Come on guys...you created this feature, and this was the best transition method you could come up with?

I am facing the same issue, I want to move my workbooks from site to default, and I am unable to get it done. Tablesu desktop is showing the message that I do not have permissons to publish, contact your admin. Guess what - I am the admin. Is there a workaround anybody was able to apply, without recreating the workbook.
