Gsteilen, I've been working with filled maps a lot during the beta testing and I've never seen a 'tuple' message. Sure would be great if you could post a package workbook. I'll definitely take a look.
My real data is proprietary so here's a simple sample using random data. The data consists of sales by state for three companies for two years. I used calculated fields to compute market share by company and year-over-year share change. The table worksheet shows the data in text and the Map worksheet shows a Symbol Map plotting the year-over-year change by state. I'd like to use a filled map instead of symbols and when I click on the filled map in Show Me or delete the Market Share Difference measure on the size under Marks I get this required tuple missing error.
This looks to me like a bug. You should report this to support. --Shawn
I have encountered the same error message when I tried to plot the share point change Year on Year with filled maps
What I have done is used filled maps to show market growth YoY and I overlaid YoY share Point change on maps with a circle as a dual axis
I found that I could plot the Share point change as a label with no issue
I hope this gets resolved quickly
Yes, I get this error as well when working with a number of mailed households by state. I want to measure the percent of total mailed and visualize it by color.
This filled map tuple required error error has been fixed with the new release of Tableau desktop (7.0.1).
I installed it today and it works like a charm
Thanks to the release team !
