    Missing Value Change

    Michael Greenwell

I need to display a line graph that starts in one colour representing booked revenue and then continues in another color for projected revenue, with the projected revenue continuing right from the booked revenue. The way I handled it in Tableau 6.1 was to duplicate all of the points of the graph so that the the lines were written on top of each other, but to cut off the data for the booked values and continue with the projected values. I also padded the values with 0s so that the lines would display correctly. You can see the results of this in the T6 attachment below. However, with Tableau 7 the value is displayed as a "Missing Value" as in the T7 attachment. Is there a way to work around this automatic formatting in Tableau 7, or perhaps a better way to achieve the same effect?
