Customer measure on the row shelf you mean?

• ###### 62. Re: Top N, with everyone else as "Other"

yeah put in on the rows shelf and then uncheck show header for Customer Name.

Think I got it!

IF [In Top N?] THEN

([% of Total Rev])

ELSEIF ([Others?]) THEN

WINDOW_SUM([% of Total Rev]) - WINDOW_SUM(

IF [In Top N?] THEN ([% of Total Rev]) END)

END

Aah ok! Got it! But when I try to condense the "others" it is not really condensing it, but just showing me the row immediately below my top n. Any idea on how to resolve this issue?

Make sure your pills are all discrete. Check your filters and the "compute using" section of your pills. They should match the second packaged workbook that's up on the first page of this discussion

I'll check it out first thing tomorrow morning.

make sure that the measure that you have on the Rows shelf is aggregating the measure. I had to change the calculation to this:

IF [In Top N?] THEN

SUM([Revenue])

ELSEIF ([Others?]) THEN

WINDOW_SUM(SUM([Revenue]), 0, LAST())

ELSE

NULL

END

I don't think the original calculation had the WINDOW_SUM part in there. Let me know if that works.

Thank you so much for all your help, Kyle! My file is still not working the way it should.  there an email or number I can reach you at so I can send you the file I am working on?

Thanks again!

Absolutely, I’d be happy to help! Send it to XXXXX@XXXXXXX and I’ll take a look ☺

• ###### 71. Re: Top N, with everyone else as "Other"

Jothsna Rao, please attach the workbook here, do not send it to someone else as that TOTALLY defeats the purpose of these help forums.  No one else will be able to help and no one will see the progress.  Based upon experience the chances of the solution being posted here is extremely low, thus there would be no solution to help others.

• ###### 72. Re: Top N, with everyone else as "Other"

Toby makes a good point. In case my knowledge doesn’t get you to the answer you’re looking for OR someone else comes up with a better solution. Not to mention if someone in the future has an issue like this your example will prove to be helpful ☺

Kyle Boyce,  I understand your intentions are good but offering to take on this task alone does not help the community at all.  Not only do you open yourself up to pings from others looking for free consultations but you also deprive the forum of how the solution was worked out and, ultimately, of the solution.

I also don't recommend posting all of your contact info so readily, spammers scrape forums for such information and thus open you up to even more garbage from such low-life "advertisers" and marketing campaigns.

• ###### 74. Re: Top N, with everyone else as "Other"

Sounds good Toby! I felt like there were too many messages being exchanged and didn't want to crowd up this space. But, going forward, I will make sure to post everything on this forum.

Thanks!
