How can I connect Tableau CRM (CRM Analytics) to Tableau Desktop?

Tableau Pulse not creating new metrics when filtered
Hi,
As I understand it, the way to create new metrics under a metric definition is to filter the existing metric and click on the check button. Tableau Pulse is then supposed to automatically create a new metric based on the filters that I selected. However, whenever I try to do this, my metrics are not being saved. When I click the back button, no new metrics are created. I'm only seeing 1 metric for each metric definition.
Is this a known issue? How can I create new metrics under the same metric definition?
Hi, after clicking on the check button, then click on the follow button. Only metrics with at least one follower are "saved". This way, Tableau avoids the metric proliferation. Imagine, each time a person modifies a filter, a metric were created. That would mean hundreds of thousands of metrics.
If this post resolves the question, would you be so kind to "Select as Best"?. This will help other users find the same answer/resolution and help community keep track of answered questions. Thank you.
How to set up alerts as soon as data changes for Tableau Pulse Metrics. Right now Tableau pulse don't give alerts it only sends digests. Also is there a way I can get notifications on windows taskbar from tableau cloud or tableau pulse
Also, what is viz alerts can it give notifications immediately after the data changes
My company has Tableau Cloud, with advanced management license, and I would like to know if I we have Tableau + (hence, access to AI product features) or not. That would be crucial for enabling Self Service with Agents and other features helping explorers self servicing. Is there a way of checking that? I'm a Site Admin with Creator License.
Controlling Idle Timeout and Session Closure via IdP in Tableau Mobile
Hello Tableau Community,
I am working on an integration between Tableau Cloud and CyberArk using SAML for Single Sign-On (SSO), and we are trying to configure session timeouts for security reasons. Specifically, we want to know if it's possible to control session closure or idle timeout through an Identity Provider (IdP) for Tableau Mobile.
Here are a few questions I have regarding this:
Is there a way to configure an idle timeout for Tableau Mobile using an IdP?
If Tableau Mobile does not support direct configuration for idle timeouts, can an IdP handle the timeout configuration so that Tableau Mobile can recognize and enforce it?
If this isn’t possible through the IdP integration, are there any alternative solutions or configurations within Tableau Mobile that would allow for session timeouts?
We are also looking into Tableau Cloud and its session timeout capabilities. Any insights or recommendations from the community would be greatly appreciated.
I have made a dashboard in pc (single screen) but now my user want to use it in mobile currently I am using tableau desktop and I have no idea what to do and how to change the dashboard to mobile screen please help me asap.
Tableau Extension: How to connect and share the downloaded image of a dashboard to Google Gemini and retrieve response based on the analyzed image?
I want to create Tableau Extension that connect Download an image from dashboard and publish the image to Google Gemini. Google Gemini can analyze this image and provide a summary details of the dashboard and insights around it that can be shown in the dashboard. What are the required resources and tools that will be required for this implementation?
Can you adjust the time for when Tableau Pulse Digests are sent?
Currently our Tableau Digests are set to be sent at 4:00 am UTC, which means it is 11 pm PDT for our users receiving the digests.
This timing isn't useful for our users, and users are opting to not sign up for the digest. It's too early for our next day processing to be completed, and too late in the current day to provide any new insights. Right now, it's just noise.
I can't find any way to adjust the timing of when the digest is sent out. I want the digest to be sent around 10 am PDT.
