I want to prevent the Tableau Server Admin from accessing or downloading data from a published source. Even with restricted permissions, the Site Admin can override them.
My Goal:
Prevent the Server Administrator from viewing, downloading, or modifying the data inside a published data source.
If they download the data source, they should not be able to see the data inside the sheets as well.
Filter Actions Not Working Properly on Tableau Server
I am using filter actions in Tableau to navigate from a stacked bar chart to a second bar chart and then to a third table view. It works perfectly on Tableau Desktop, but not on Server.
we have an Issue with Tableau RMT Web URL is not reachable after windows monthly tour. In the past once we had this issue we did rotated the rabbitmq certificates and it was OK.
And again we see the Issue with the below error.

Tableau Desktop repeatedly asks to reconnect to data source.
I have one user who intermittandly is being asked to reconnect to the data source in Tableau Desktop 2022.1.3. When they click yes, the same screen pops up again asking if they want to reconnect to the data source. They could press yes over and over for 10 minutes without it ever resolving.
If they click no they get the following message.
They can then save the desktop workbook, close and reopen it and connect with no issue.
Has anyone had experience with this? The data source is an extract, and others can use it with no issue. The user is on a VM that has the same image as all other Desktop users.
many times in Tableau Server, I am unable to make changes to the tooltip. I click OK, but the change is not applied, and the tooltip window remains open. Why is this happening?
Is it possible to view underlying data in the calculated field without action filters. Looks simple but a complex problem.
Hi All, I am trying to display the name of customers when I click on the number 4(generated from the calculated field) without adding additional filters on the filter card, looks simple but its bit complex problem. attached is the twbx.
