I am displaying a KPIs that use 2 unlinked date causing an error when looking into the details
Hello,
In the Tableau attached to this message I have an issue:
I'm displaying aggregated KPIs based on either a Site, an Offer or both
I also have 2 parameters:
Date granularity that allow to change the displayed KPI between weekly/monthly/yearly
Deep_dive that allow to choose what I want to display Site/Offer/Region
My issue is that when I look the details for a specific week, the KPIs for the sites are good but for the Offers, I have the KPIs for all the the dates...
I have successfully joined two data sources together using an outer join (within one logical table vs. a dynamic connection). However, for some records in one table, I am getting different outputs for the DATEADD calculation vs. a workbook with just the one table.
Can column labels be altered if they are calculated?
We use a lot of calculated fields because oftentimes there are several corrections to the content of a field, and there is a hierarchy to which version of this information should be prioritized, although all must be recorded.
Salesforce cannot export the result of a calculation done within it, so that has to be done in Tableau. That is fine, but because of that, the field I end up with is a calculation.
To make things easier/more understandable for both me and anyone else who edits the same charts, I tend to name calculated fields to be things that very specifically explain how they came to exist, and use other text indicators that they are fields we actually want to use in visualizations.
As an example: //ULT Duration/60 is the name of a field
// makes it easy to search, ULT Duration is the formula that chooses the right version of the duration, which is originally a calculation anyway.
This would all be well and good but the result is that if this field is used as a column name in a crosstab, I can't edit that label, ie change it to "hours" or something simple.
Tableau Student License: didn't receive email with the product key
I'm asking for a student who filled out the online form (https://www.tableau.com/academic/students) and downloaded Tableau Desktop software. She never received an email that contained the product key. What could be the problem, and how can we solve this issue?
Question about filtering in side-by side bar chart
I am trying to create a side by side bar chart, where there is one bar for state (black bar) based on the variable Varilab and then multiple bars for region (gold bar) show up based on the filter. Rightnow, every time I add a region from the filter, it repeats the state bar (black bar) as well. Is there a way to do this? Thank you for your guidance.
