Hello! Wondering if anyone here can assist...I am registered to take a Data Visualization and Science Certification path using Tableau via UCDavis, and provided by Coursera. According to SheerID, Coursera is a recognized educator and thus I should be able to obtain a one-year student license to the Tableau product. The problem is, none of the documents I've submitted to SheerID have worked to "prove" my enrollment in the courses. This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.
Has anyone here had a similar experience and what did you do to get around the SheerID folks' intransigence? I just want to take my courses and not deal with this kind of foolishness. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. (And if you're ever in Miami, a drink or two are in order as a thank you for your help LOL!)

Let's work to improve this experience! In the Student FAQ we list these things that "prove" a person is allowed a free one-year student license:
To verify your student status, upload school-issued documentation that includes:
- Your full name as entered on the request form,
- The name of your school as entered on the request form, and
- Active student status as of today
Examples of accepted school-issued documentation are:
- Student ID card showing date of validity (i.e. issue date in the current academic year or expiration date in the future),
- Course schedule showing the current term with name and school include, or
- Copy of an unofficial transcript showing current enrollment
So with the Coursera course at UC Davis for the certification, none of the items listed above are available for submission? And what type of information did you post to them that they rejected? I can work with our Academic Team to expand this list since the course you mentioned doesn't contain any of the items we have used in the past for approval of a license key. I'm also curious, does the course tell you to request a student key and one doesn't come with the class? This is all good information I can let our Academic Team know about to adjust our processes! Thank you for your patience!
