I have a Linux server and am trying to set up disaster recovery processes. One of the steps is creating a backup in the VA region, copying it (through s3) to OH and having it ready for restore if something happens to VA.
I know it's possible to write a shell script to do this, but I think it would be helpful to include a switch to overwrite a backup file during the tsm maintenance backup process. For regular backups, I understand the value of (and currently use) the date stamp switch. But for this process, it is unnecessary overhead for me to create a separate shell script just to remove a file I will be recreating in the next command.
