We can't wait to hear from you!
Please join us in welcoming Stephen Munoz to the Tableau Community Forum team! He shared the following note:
Hello Tableau Community! My name is Stephen Munoz and I will be joining the stellar Tableau community team as the newest Program Manager. I am incredibly excited and honored to join this amazing Tableau #DataFam. Before joining Tableau, I was with Google as a Marketing Program Manager leading initiatives to connect the Google user community with Google product experts via digital experiences. I have a huge love for data, technology, and communities so joining Tableau was a no-brainer for me. In 2014, I received my MBA from San Diego State University with an emphasis on Marketing. When it comes to using Tableau I will admit I am a newbie, but having been in marketing & technology throughout my career, data has always been at the core of what I do. I am excited to see how the community will help me build out my Tableau expertise. I currently reside in Bellevue, WA a city east of Seattle across Lake Washington. When the weather permits, I spend my free time enjoying the PNW outdoors with my family and when the weather isn’t so great, throwing dance parties with my 2 year old. If you bump into me on my commute I’ll likely have my nose buried in a good Sci-Fi or Fantasy novel. My Tableau journey is just beginning and I’m super pumped to connect with the Community!
Welcome to the #DataFam!

▲ Top-Voted Idea
The most popular idea in the forums this week was Proper string function - Proper() from Minh Nguyen. This idea was originally shared in 2012 and is still very popular today. There are a couple of duplicate ideas that have been identified, Title Case & Capitalise the first letter
Ciara Brennan recently flagged this for the dev team so we know they are aware of the recent engagement. If you have specific thoughts or feedback please comment on the idea to be sure it is seen by the team.

▲ Most Talked About Thread
Our most talked about thread this week comes from Community Analytics Ace Jayshree Dawrewar - she shared the question To get grand total of a measure without splitting it in ship mode like other measures in the grid... on June 11th and it has been answered by Data Monarch Hari Ankem. Jayshree had originally asked for help, "to show grand total of a measure without letting it split into any dimension, but rest measure should be split". Thank you to everyone who participated in the thread and cheers to Hari for the solution!
