Here are a few I am aware of: Goal Scorers Over the Ages, Efficiency of World Cup Players, and here is even on created by Dan Mantena for this year's Copa to track standings and odds.. Michelle Barrineau posted a question asking for help to tweak the appearance of Bubble charts to make them look more interesting. Simon Runc offered up the use of custom shapes as one possible solution. There is a great side discussion around presenting to Executiives with Toby Erkson. Simon offered up a potential idea of tweaing the flat bubble shape slightly to allow for a more 3d look to the bubble and Michelle countered witha modification to the "Ratings" shape inspired by the suggestion. A great community post bringing together ideas around best practices, visualization communication and how to tweak Tableau just enough to get a desired result.
