Microsoft JET database error 0x80004005: Query is too complex

After upgrading to 8.2 from 8.1. One of my workbook is running well but when I click into editing data source of the extract.

There is error message as below:

Microsoft JET database error 0x80004005: Query is too complex.

...

It used to work in 8.1 just fine and I have never seen this kind of problem.

Can you let me know how to fix this? thanks

How to embed login credentials into URL

I have the username/password to access the related views and projects in Tableau Server through the web interface.

I want to embed login credentials into the URL to avoid inputting them manually, sth like

http://domain.com/views/category/reportA?username=sales&password=abcde

But it doesnt work. Can anyone help with this?

Global filter on Dates for multiple data sources

Hello Everyone

I just tried all the means I can think of plus viewing all the similar pages but still cant figuire out how to have a global filter on date time with a slide bar as attached.

The problem is that currently when I move the slide bar along date range, only type a and b changes while data from C.xlsx doesnt really change.

I tried action and parameter but still dont get. Can any one help please? Thank you

BTW, I am using 7.0

Failure to Open/Download workbook from tableau server

After I successfully publish my workbook in tableau server, I cant either download from the web portal or open workbook to import the file from the server.

Here are the errors :

1 When I try to download the test workbook published from the web interface

2 If I try to open it from desktop 7.0

About percentage of crosstab from different data sources

From this link I got the idea of how to combine different data sources to show crosstab

However, after I get the table, want to expand it for percentage of column total. It just doesnt work from the Analysis.

Can anybody give some comments on this? Thanks
