Cannot create large extract (> 250 million rows) on desktop

Hi,

I've tried several times to create a very large extract but I keep getting an error that says: cannot create extract, lost connect to server.

Any ideas on why this keeps happening or what can be done about it? Is this a Tableau issue or a database issue?

Click on a sheet within a dashboard and go to another dashboard

I have a dashboard with 6 sheets on it. I'd like to turn each sheet into a "button", so that when you click on a sheet, you go to another dashboard. I would also like to have some kind of hover effect so that the user knows the sheet is click-able.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Color by a dimension then measure?

How can you color by a dimension followed by a gradient for each measure?

I have a map displaying routes, each route which is it's own color. For each route, I'd like to display the speed at each point, which needs to be a gradient of the speed measure. Is this possible?

Linear interpolation in Tableau

I have two data sets, both of which are displayed over time. For one of the data sets I have every single point in time and for the other, I only have 20 points total.

Tableau will automatically draw lines connecting all the points which is perfect, but the problem comes when I drill down between points on a dashboard, then it doesn't display anything. One way to solve this problem would be to linearly interpolate and store all the points in the database. However, this does not seem very efficient.

Is there a way to handle this in Tableau?
