Distance between coordinates and between coordinates and a city

I have a bunch of offshore oil & gas platforms (coordinates) in the North Sea and I want to calculate the distance between two platforms and also the city that has helicopter flights to each platforms.

I don't know how to show the cities on the map, while the input data coordinates of the platforms are already on a map.

I have the list of offshore platforms and their latitude and longitude coordinates in Excel, how do I go about arranging the data to get it on a map showing the locations?
