Activating RAWSQL

I'm trying to use RAWSQL on Tableau 8.2 Mac, but apparently the functions do not exist (!?)

Is this a product change, or does RAWSQL have limitations on what data sets you can use it on?

(I've tried this on data extracts and excel files, to no avail)

I was under the impression that Tableau effectively treated an excel like a SQL database, so this should work..

Hi there,

I've recently come across a weird data integrity issue when connecting Tableau to Hive.

If you have a Tab character in a Hive string field, Tableau interprets this as a column separator and, as a result, shifts string content into other columns - totally ruining the data.

Interestingly this happens on a row by row level (e.g. the data isn't shifted down into the next record), but this is still a very frustrating issue over large datasets, as a char/replace function would cripple the run time.
