Opening existing extracts and appending other existing extracts

Hi all,

I'm currently using the latest version fo the Tableau Data Extract API, and I"m not seeing how it's possible to iterate over the "Extract" table in order to gather rows to append to another existing extract (using Java). Scenario:

I perform 24 hour queries and create a single TDE. At the end of the week (7 days) I want to combine all these TDEs so that I don't have ot manually do this in Tableau (because once you get to the 3rd or 4th extract append, it iwll make your machine compeltely unusable while Tableau works it's magic, and can take 2+ hours) - not to mention the loss of time when I need data right away.

Is this possible with the current API? It doesn't appear to be the case. It looks like I'd have to have the raw data, outside of the extract, in order to use the Row class to insert data - meaning it can't come from another TDE.
