Allow Tableau to open dashboards in separate browser windows.

Hi all,

Most of us have multiple monitors now days. They should allow you to create a new dashboard page and open it in another window - so if you have three screens hooked up, you can have 3 different graphs/whatever going on and allow you to filter the data to see the results across all of the dashboards. It would be insanely helpful and I for one would love to see it.

Otherwise, increase the max size of a dashboard to more than 4000 pixels. On two 1920x1080 monitors you only get two and a half screens. In a conference room type setting with multiple monitors that are huge, either of these two options would be nice. But the first one would probably be best. That way you don't have to do the math to account for the bezel.

How do I get calculated fields to work across two different data sets to compare population by zip codes by a number of dead and infected for a simulated outbreak?

Hi,

I have the map up and running, but I'm having trouble with calculated fields. Maybe I'm overlooking something, but it's giving me fits. I'd like to have a user pick out several filtered options and then for those given parameters, compare the population of NYC by zip code to the number of disease deaths and infected and then color in the map that way. So if 100,000 people die, it would pick out one or more zip codes to add up to 100,000. If that makes sense.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

How do I display several dashboards across different browser windows and still be able to use one quick filter on all of them?

Hi all,

I've been racking my brain on this for the past week. Does anyone know of a way to open (like) three dashboards on three different chrome windows (since I have multiple monitors) and still use one set of quickfilters to go through and sort the data? If this just won't work, I'd like to suggest that Tableau implement this feature. Most everyone has multiple monitors today and it would be helpful to display several different graphs and see it all change as you filter the data. Thanks!
