Calculated field to index values

Hi all,

I would like to create a calculation in Tableau that would index data based on a 12-month period reference: September 2000 - August 2001. For example, July 2010 would be represented as an index of July 2001: Value(July 2010)/Value(July 2001)*100.

My data source is an excel file and It is really easy to do it in Excel but I am just wondering if there is an easy way to make such calculation in Tableau.
