Oracle database error 6502: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small

Getting the above error when attempting to extract in Desktop Professional Edition v8.0.4. I also would receive the error while viewing my dashboard without any filters. I am pulling the data from a view that has only about 48k rows in it. If I use Edit Connection > Custom SQL and comment out my COMMENTS__C field, I no longer receive the error. The COMMENTS__C field is a VARCHAR2(4000) type. Unfortunately this field is very necessary so I cannot simply do without it.

I can't tell if the issue is on the Tableau-side (due to the PL/SQL reference in the error message) or if the issue is Oracle-related. Any ideas how to fix this issue? Thanks!
