Allow user to change level of details on map

Hi,

I have geography hierarchy (Region-County-Municipality-City (Regija-Zupanija-Opcina-Naselje in Croatian)) and geography related data (facts) provided by Olap cube. Data is displayed on Tableau filled map (created by tabgeohack utility).

Inside tableau desktop, I can easily change level of details simple by clicking on the hierarchy on the left. For published workbook, user also can easily choose level of details by clicking on the quick filter on the right.

But, … on filter there is a “surplus”, all hierarchy with ids (because those ids are associated with the shape(s) ids).

Now, is it possible somehow to hide ids hierarchy from the quick filter, leaving only the hierarchy level filter (i.e. leaving only 0,1,2,3) or to create some kind of custom filter (i.e. combobox with Level0, Level1, Level2, Level3 strings) that would allow the same thing => allow user to change displayed hierarchy level?

We are using Tableau filled maps (created wit tabgeohack) to represent data on our map (green regions) and geoserver for serving background map. This all works ok, but I would like to have smoother zoom levels. Here are pictures to help me explain:

1) zoom level 1.jpg – this is default zoom for my map

2) zoom level 2.jpg – that get generated by Tableau (and geoserver in background) when user click on minus button on Tableau map zoom control

The problem is that zoom level 2 map has too big zoom level (not very user friendly). Is it possible to configure such thing?
