Error when using relative date filter on Redshift Tableau Server

I have setup a Redshift data source on our site. When I create a new report I'm selecting "Connect to Data" -> "Tableau Server" -> "Data Source Name". If I try to add a relative date filter (i.e. last 7 days) I get the following error message:

ERROR: Specified types or functions (one per INFO message) not supported on Redshift tables.;

If instead of selecting "Tableau Server" I create a new "Amazon Redshift" connection, I get no error. Any ideas what is going on?
