Filter several (but not all) sheets simultaneously

I end up creating dashboards that have certain windows I want filted by the most current month, and others that I want set to year to date. Whenever I need to change one of those filters, I have to go in to each sheet individually to change it. I'd like to be able to select several sheets and then adjust just 1 filter.

I often have Workbooks with sheets that connect to different data sources. I'd like to have a view that serves as a "map" indicating which sheets are connected to which data source.
