Regarding Calculated field usage with a column containing 2000 rows

Hi,

I have been using a calculated field on a column called "URL".

Basically the query used in calculated field is as below.'

if CONTAINS([URL] ,'cinema') = TRUE then 'Cinema Page visit'

ELSEIF

CONTAINS([URL] ,'bowling') = TRUE then 'entertainment page visit'

ELSE *OTHER PAGES'

END

The URL column am querying is having 2000 rows and the extract is excel extract. I have been getting database error 0x80040e14 unknown.

I read in other forum, it might be because of using so many if condition and hence i changed my calculated field to use switch. It doesnt help even

I performed the same IF/SWITCH on the same column with 25 rows and it gave me the correct results . Is this because of limitation in tableau taht i cannot use a if statement with more than 2000 rows.

Your timely help would be appreciated.
