How do I compare data using two different date fields?

I have two tables I want to compare in a worksheet. The first table is customer transactions which has a date. I want to show the number of transactions per month.

The second is customer signups, which has it's own date. I want to show the # of signups versus the # of transactions by month.

I can easily do this on two different worksheets, but not in one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Add a filter action to a dashboard that uses a field in a related table

When setting up a filter action in a dashboard, it only allows me to select a specific field from the worksheets main data source. How do I filter on a field that is a related table (an connected in the worksheet)? Otherwise, is there a way to change the primary table for an existing worksheet?

The chart I'm trying to create is a tree map. It shows up to 6 months of data (depending on choices on quick filter) with size based on Commission. The calculation used for commission: RUNNING_SUM(AVG([Commission]))

The issue is it doesn't seem to be a cumulative calculation, instead a running average. What I'm trying to accomplish is the average commission per vendor by month, then adding cumulatively.

I test by limiting the data just to January, but when I also add February the number may drop instead of increase. What am I doing wrong?
