referencing data in multiple sheets on the same workbook

Hi,

I would like to be able to calculate the percentage between two totals in 2 sheets of the same workbook.

In the attachment, there are the Total Sales for 2 groups of States, i would like to be able to create a percentage between the two of them, any ideas would be most welcome.

Total of monetary field

The attached workbook concerns itself with the number of supermarket til receipts we have for user number 2 (Customer_id) and the total (Total) of each of those receipts (Receipt_ID).

In the first tab 'Receipt Total as a Dimension, I can see the receipt total for each receipt id, broken down by how many products are shown on that receipt e.g. Receipt_ID 10241 is made up of 9 products.

In the second 'Receipt Total as a Measure (SUM), I can see the receipt total summed for each receipt. What is happening with this is that the receipt total has been multiplied for each product on this receipt e.g. Receipt_ID 10241 we know has 9 products on it, here it is shown as a total of 9 times the receipt total as a measure - 9 x 230.0 = 2070

What I want to see is Receipt_id 10241's Total as 230.0 as a measure. That way I could begin to look at month-on-month trends, total averages by customer_id's etc.

Inexperience with calculated fields

Getting to grips with Tableau and wondered if anyone can help.

The attachment shows the total of each receipt, entitled 'Total' for each consumer id. What i would like to get to is a grand total of these receipt total for each consumer id.

e.g. consumer id 23590 has 2 receipts - £21.23 & £29.74, total should be £50.97.

I have used the analysis tab to get total and have switched the field 'Total' to a measure, but, do not get anything like £50.97.

Your assistance would be most welcome.

Comparing a set of values in each month

Just started using Tableau desktop and I am stuck on how to group a number of user ids together and see how many of them appear in each month of my sales data.

Is the best way of starting this is to create a parameter?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Publishing a workbook to Cloud server.

I am using Tableau desktop Version 8.0 in conjunction with a cloud server license.

I am having difficulty publishing my second workbook online. After confirming the data to extract I receive a warning that the date fields will be changed, some date will be lost as a result. After this, nothing happens and my Cloud account does not receive this new workbook.

2 questions,

1. What's the deal with the date

2. Should there be a delay in publishing content to the cloud server
