Editing a dimension group in a data connection published to Tableau Server.

I published a data source to Tableau Server. It contains some regular dimensions as well as a dimension group. When I pull it down to desktop and try to edit that group, I only have the option to edit a *COPY* of the group. This proliferates over time. Every time I want to edit the group, I have to edit a copy. I now have about 5 copies and can't delete the old copies.

I thought this was a permission issue but have given myself full permissions to the connection (not to mention I am the publisher of the connection). I have full admin privileges. Any thoughts here? Thanks!
