API retrieve the list of projects \ workbooks \ views for a specific user

We would like to know how to retrieve the list of projects \ workbooks \ views for a specific user using the tableau javascript API. Is it possible?

Hi,

We would like to embed tableau server with our current web application. The reason for this is to show a friendly web interface showing a list of projects, workbooks and views which the user has permission to view. After looking into the tableau javascript api documentation, we couldn't find a process to retrieve the list of the projects and workbooks for a specific user account. Are we missing something? Is it possible?

Some people on this forum suggest to access the tableau database server "PostgreSQL", however that would add more complexity to the integration. Is there any alternative? Would it be possible to send a notification to our web service when a user creates a project, workbook or view?
