Combining US and CA geoloc

I have no trouble in creating a map based on zip codes for the US, and one based on postal codes for Canada, but I can't combine the two because location options only lets you select a single location for the whole data set. Is there a way for me to combine the two maps?

Combining tables without relationship

I'm new to Tableau 8I can't for the life of me figure out how to merge two excel based tables together without having a relationship.

Say I have two excel files each has only one column with a title and list of zip codes. Suffice it to say both files are unique.

I want a chart that shows the frequency of the zip codes, so I need to combine the two tables into one.

I can do this in Excel by merging the two files into a single file with a single column to get the results I need, but that makes it difficult to work with larger files or databases. Is there a way to combine the two tables into one?
