Action Filter on Dashboard needs to use a field from a workbook not visible

I have a dashboard for our incident tickets that has several workbooks. The bottom workbook is a simple grid being used to show details. One of the workbooks shows a count of tickets, who they are assigned to and what their state is. It is filtered by a calculated field (# of days since last updated). When I click one of those values, the action filter on the details workbook shows me records that are not taking the # of days since last updated filter into account.

Near as I can tell it is because the # of days since last updated is not actually visible anywhere on the workbook being clicked on and the action filter is creating a set that is using the 2 fields that are visible (assigned to and state).

Is there a way I can get the days since last updated to be taken into consideration by the Action filter without making the field visible in the workbook?
